“There have been rumours in the press that the procedure with Greece has gone awry. I am convinced that this is wrong”. “The negotiation is still going and a lot of ground has been covered”.

When asked about today's agenda, the Dutch FinMin explained that no results are expected, but an evaluation of the progress of the talks between all parts and the Greek government is to be expected. He stated that a lot of work has been done on all sides and the work is still continued.

While answering to a question concerning the current, state of the markets and the European banks, Mr.Djisselbloem pointed to the relevant overlooking authorities and he noted that the Eurogroup's goal  is the support of the bank unification. He went further to speculate that the current turmoil could be explained as the effort of the markets to adjust to the new bank unification.
