R.T.Erdogan goes on with his purge campaign and clarifies that he is not at all interested in the European views over his methods. He states that Turkey is attacked by a” virus”, a “cancer” which has to be cleared.
In an interview he gave to the French TV station France 24, the Turkish president stated that “I don’t listen to them. What the European officials say are of no interest to me and I don’t listen to them”.
The State of Emergency in which Turkey has been placed for the first time after 15 years, has increased the average time of preliminary jail into 30 days, and has destroyed more that 2000 institutions and organizations.
Until now, 1043 educational institutions, 15 universities, 1299 associations and agencies as well as 19 syndicates. Any public servant who was found to have some form of association to F.Gulen has been stricken off the employee records.
The Turkish PM Yildirim, stated that 13002 people have been provisionally arrested after the cop that was attempted between the 15 to 16th of July while 5837 were actually arrested. From them 3718 were soldiers while 123 were colonels. President Erdogan claims that his final goal is to uproot “that virus, the cancer which could spread” from all Turkish institutions and organizations.
