150 migrants, situated in a field at the borders between Serbia-Hungary have commenced a hunger strike. They ask that they be allowed to move towards the EU. Their message ; “We will remain here. The borders must open”.
The group of migrants, mostly Avghan and Pakistani, traveled from Beograd towards the borders during the borders. They camped in a field approx 100mt. from the fence which separates Hungary with Serbia.
The Serbian Minister of Social Affairs, Alaxandar Vulin stated that the authorities are ready to prevent any possible incidents. On the other hand, the migrants declare that they are determined. “They bring us food here yet no-one wants to eat it. The borders remain closed and, therefore, we shall remain here until the borders open” were the words of one of the strikers, Abdul Malek.
