According to Amnesty International “as Europe is procrastinating to offer solutions on the relocation of refugees and immigrants from Greece, thousands of men, women and children remain in dirty and unsafe storage facilities or tents. The Greek government must act immediately toward the improvement of their living conditions and their prosperity”.

The organization has issued a request towards the deputy minister of Migration Policy, Giannis Mouzalas, where it asks that the Greek authorities should use all available resources in order to provide adequate and safe shelter as well as adequate sanitation facilities and medical care for the refugees and asylum seekers who are in Greece. All vulnerable groups, expecting women, children, the elder, people with special needs or permanent illnesses should also have access to the necessary services and care.
