The meeting of the Mediterranean EU countries aims at boosting cooperation and coordination so that the Euromed countries can strengthen their intervention on the European agenda, governmental sources said.
 
The meeting will focus on issues of EU foreign policy, with emphasis on regional security and peace, growth with emphasis on tackling unemployment and strengthening social cohesion and attracting investment, European policy on the migration-refugee issue, which has been a point of friction with several Northern European states and the Visegrad Group.
